At the 2009 Academy Awards, the winners in the Best Motion Picture, Sound Editing, Sound Mixing, Film Editing, Directing and Music (Song and Score) categories were all created with Avid solutions. In all, Avid customers accounted for more than 80 nominations.
Need more convincing? At the 2008 Academy Awards, all of the nominated and award-winning films in the Best Motion Picture, Directing, Film Editing, Sound Editing, Sound Mixing, Visual Effects, Documentary Feature and Original Score categories were created using at least one Avid, Digidesign, Sibelius or Softimage system.
This has been a similar trend for years and the momentum does not appear to be slowing down which is why we would like to add to the pile of awards at Avid by presenting them the 2009 “TopTenREVIEWS Bronze Award” for Video Production Software to Avid Media Composer 3.5.
